This photo demonstrates the typical expression of the "old fashioned" Lhasa Apso. Dolma was my first homebred Champion.
She was the product of a little bitch I purchased from Grace Licos, and a beautiful dog, Ch. On-Ba Jo-Bo. Besides posessing the most beautiful headpiece of any Lhasa I have ever seen, before or since, she had a wonderful coat, a hard, strong little body, four good legs, and a smooth, capable movement. She stood 9 and one quarter inches at the shoulder, and was perfectly proportioned. We didn't show her until she was three years old, and had had two litters of puppies.
She was also one of the most intelligent animals I have ever met. She had a true Lhasa temperament - self posessed and aware of her own superiority. A princess of Lhasas. We will never see the likes of her again!
